Steve Sailer posted a link to an article that describes the Russian-Georgian war in military terms. It’s a blow-by-blow chronology. I can’t vouch for its accuracy any more than he can, but the details make it seem quite plausible.

Just now I have read the article about Moscow’s radio ‘Echo Moskvy’ (that I hear everyday, by the way). This from The NewYorker. Very interesting and very true, in my view. I highly recommend it.
Though, I don’t know how this text is seen from US.
