Yea, Our hospital in Norfolk had quiet rooms where you could go.

In the car we usually listen to CDs german , amish , 60′s music ( all three not one type )

Albert,

They could have separate TV and non-TV waiting rooms, like they used to have for smoking in restaurants. Or they could provide headsets for those who want to listen.

If they don’t have TV noise outlawed by the next time I have to wait in the Battle Creek hospital systems waiting room, I think I’ll take the ear protectors we use with the lawn mower. Maybe that will work to keep some of the stupidity from reaching my ears.

The BC hospital is an extreme case, I think. Borgess in Kalamazoo has TVs, but they don’t have them in every nook and cranny. You can at least put a little distance between you and them. Or it may have been a difference between the surgery waiting room and other types of waiting rooms.

But it’s gotten so I seldom listen to the radio in the car, either. Either I listen to an audio book or else the voices in my head.

I don’t know about hospitals, I have waited with some friends who had someone going through surgery that took5 or 6 hours and the TV was a nice distraction to the worry of how or if the patient would survive. In general I agree, I hate TV in McDonalds and other eating establishments

On the google search I looked up my ancestor’s name, Reuben Bentley. There was reference made to a trip to Carthage, IN to the home of Reuben Bentley. I am so curious…not educated about the computer world. It mentioned picture someone had taken on the way to this home. Can somebody help me figure this out?
